History:

Zion Baptist Church began as a small group of believers who were searching for a Bible-preaching, conservative local Independent Baptist church. In early 2008, the group met together weekly praying for God’s will. Our desire was to be a part of a church that preached the Gospel, strengthened families, supported missionaries, and encouraged holy living. God opened many doors, and under His direction and with help from another church we moved forward with the work. Zion Baptist Church held its first service on Sunday March 2, 2008. From March 2, 2008 to March 1, 2020 we experienced God's great blessings in so many ways; many people came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour, families joined the church and began to serve and grow in the Lord, and we were able to support more and more missionaries throughout the world. We have truly enjoyed the blessings of serving the LORD together.

On March 1, 2020, Zion Baptist Church and Post Falls Baptist Church merged into one unified church. Post Falls Baptist Church began in the fall of 1973, and saw decades of God's blessings. Since those early days, the church had added a second building, supported many missionaries, and were blessed to see many people come through the doors and find hope in Jesus Christ. In September 2018, their pastor of nearly 28 years unexpectedly died. The church spent about a year and a half without a pastor. In January 2019 they extended a call to Pastor Seth Hohenstreet of Zion Baptist Church to be their new pastor. This was done with the full understanding and expectation that Pastor Seth would lead Zion Baptist and Post Falls Baptist to completely unite into one church. After a month and a half of combined church services, and much administrative work among the pastor and people, the two churches were unanimous in their decision to unite into one church body on March 1, 2020. After a couple months of renovations and upgrades, the church body moved into the original Post Falls Baptist buildings on Spokane St.

The newly consolidated church decided to retain the name Post Falls Baptist Church. We thrilled to go forward for God's glory as a conservative, fundamental, Bible-preaching, Independent Baptist Church. Since the merger, we have been blessed to see great unity among the people. And an even greater blessing is how we have already seen God working in our church as new families have joined and people have come to trust the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.

As we head into the future and continue to serve the Lord here in Post Falls, we would be honored for others to join us and be a part of the great work the God is doing in and through our church.
